How to open the lid of a smart meter box

Use a plum key to open it:
The outside of the meter box lid will have a lock round hole, and you need to choose a plum key with the same caliber size to open it.
Insert the key into the lock notch and turn it clockwise to open it.
Use the smart unlock feature:
Some smart meter boxes have automatic code unlocking function, you can use your cell phone to scan the QR code to unlock the lock without the need of a key.
Precautions and possible alternatives
Cautions: Be careful during operation to avoid damaging the meter box or meter.
Alternative: If you forget your key, you can try to use the smart unlock function or contact the power company for help.
